How To Capture Screen On iPhone 11
Recover using a deleted iCloud service
This method is almost the same as the previous one. But you can be far from home and your home computer, in another city or another country. You can unlock iPhone via iCloud if you have enabled the “Find My Phone” option before.
- Go to iCloud.com from any device.
- Enter your Apple ID.
- Go to the “All devices” section and select the desired gadget.
- Select the line “erase iPhone” (Erase).
All data on the device will be erased, it will be unlocked. Then you can connect the gadget to iTunes at a convenient time and use the backup to restore.
This method only works if the locked phone is connected to WI-FI or mobile internet. And if you know your ID.
Resetting the counter of invalid attempts
Have you left your iPhone on the coffee table and been grabbed by a curious child? Returning from the bathroom, they found that their favorite phone had turned into a piece of iron. But you know the password, you just need another chance! In this case, you can simply reset the counter of incorrect attempts and re-enter the desired combination, or use Face ID on your iPhone X, XS or XR.
You can reset the counter of incorrect password attempts on the phone on a computer with which the gadget has already synchronized at least once.
- Connect your phone to your computer with a cable.
- In the “Devices” menu select the item “Synchronize with.” Instead of dots. the name of the device.
- Once syncing starts, stop it by clicking the cross at the top of iTunes. The phone will return to the password entry window. Make no mistake this time.
By the way, reset the password and the “hard reset” will not work: you must admit, it would be too easy for intruders.
It will also NOT work to connect the phone to someone else’s computer: in this case, you must first press the “trust” button on the phone. But you will NOT be able to do this as the screen is locked.
How to unlock iPhone if you forgot your password
Why Emergency Unlock iPhone With Really Working Methods?
We will not talk about cases when someone else’s phone fell into your hands. In this case, it is still better to return it to the owner. But still, atypical situations may arise:
The Face ID function has stopped working (the scanner is broken, it reacts). Yes, the situation is not the most common, but it happens.
The fingerprint scanner is broken, the settings are lost,
Thinking while twisting the phone in your hands and spent ten attempts to scan your fingerprint,
You only used the password, but you cannot remember it and attempts to recover have been exhausted,
The phone fell into the hands of the child, which entered the information incorrectly 10 times, and now the gadget is blocked,
The password was set by a child, playing, and does not remember it.
You bought a gadget off hand and did NOT check if it is ready to work with you. In this case, it is worth not only recovering the password, but first make sure that your gadget is not listed as hijacked. This can be done by entering the serial number on the Apple website: the devices must have a Clean status. Although, if this is not the case, we generally do not recommend that you pay money for such a dubious purchase.
You bought the device hand-held and the previous owner did NOT remove the device activation in iCloud.
Recovery Mode to Unlock iPhone if Forgot Password
This method can be used only if you know the Apple ID of the device and the password to which the device is linked in the iCloud menu. If you risk restoring locked iPhones without THIS information, and activation lock is installed on it using the “find phone” function, the device will turn into a “brick”.
It is worth using the recovery mode if you want to reset the password on a locked iPhone 6, 7, 8, X, XS, XR. This may be needed if you do not know, do not remember the password, and could not find it.
- Turn off your phone.
- Connect it to your computer.
- Select Recovery Mode from the menu that appears.
- Turn on iTunes, click OK and then “Restore iPhone”.
- If a message appears about Autocheck updated, click on the “check” button.
- Then click “Recover and Update” on the next screen. You will be warned that all data from the gadget will be deleted.
– We select the iOS version for installation, agree with the license agreement, wait until the firmware is downloaded (for the latest models, the firmware weighs more than 3 GB).
IMPORTANT: On some firmware versions, an error appears (3004): iPhone cannot be restored. To cope with this, close all browsers and make Internet Explorer your default browser, launch it and agree to the offer in the displayed window.
If you downloaded the firmware in advance (for example, because the Internet is slow on the computer), then the “restore iPhone” button in iTunes must be pressed while holding down the Shift key. Then a window will appear where you can enter the path to the firmware file.
Top 5 Ways to Unlock iPhone
How to Unlock iPhone via iTunes
So, if you entered the wrong password more than 9 times or used the recognition scanner on the gadget, then the smart operating system will turn off the device, lock and deactivate it. In order to prevent fraudsters from accessing personal data (for example, passwords from wallets, your personal photos and contacts), all content on the device will be deleted.
And it will end well if you have done an iPhone backup restore to iTunes regularly. In this case, in order to reset the phone, you will need an Authorized Computer.

On iPhone 6s, press the Home button and the Top or Side key.

- Set up the newly turned on phone and use it.
Installing new firmware via DFU mode on iPhone if you forgot your password
If soft recovery does not help, then it remains to use a hard reset to install the new firmware. This task can be solved in DFU mode. To get there on the iPhone 6 and 6s, simultaneously press the Home and Power buttons and hold for 10 seconds.
For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, the procedure is different:
- Connect your phone to iTunes.
- Hold down the volume down and off buttons, hold until the phone turns off. Release only the power button.
- In DFU mode, the screen should be black, no iTunes icon.
- On the computer screen, the program will prompt you to check for updates, after clicking the button “Verify” she will tell you that the phone is in recovery mode. Click OK and reinstall the firmware (it’s better to download it in advance).
Turn screen rotation on and off in iPhone 7
For iPhone 5s, 6, 7, 8, setting the rotation to iOS 11 is still done by pressing a button to lock the portrait orientation. To find it, we do the following:
The lock screen icon in iPhone 7 with iOS 11
- We take out the Control Center from the bottom of the screen
- And we see a button with a lock in a round arrow
If the button is not active (as in the picture above), then you can turn your iPhone on its side, the screen with a movie or clip will also rotate, stretching across the entire display in horizontal scanning.
But if you lie on your side and want to read from the iPhone in this position, you will have to use the screen rotation lock so that it does not spin. By pressing a button, you Disable the screen rotation, which is not just locked, it is locked in portrait orientation and this is an unfortunate solution. Lying on your side, watching YouTube reviews in full screen does not work.
So Apple listen here. you just need to make a screen lock, without being tied to a book scan, then it will be much more convenient.
Setting iPhone screen rotation in iOS 11
Especially for those who recently bought an iPhone or updated the firmware to iOS 11, I will tell you how to adjust the screen rotation for any iPhone model. Screen rotation is most often used for viewing from a smartphone screen, horizontal viewing of a movie or a YouTube is more comfortable for the eye.
Wide or panoramic photos are also better viewed when the iPhone is placed horizontally. Auto-Flip to the side enables the engineering mode in the calculator.
Horizontal screen mode on iPhone Plus models
The lock icon that blocks the rotation of the screen is also present on iPhone models with the Plus prefix. So for the pros, everything works exactly the same.
But in the iPhone 6 Plus, 6S Plus, 7 Plus, 8 Plus, the function of rotating the desktop from the icon to horizontal mode (also called landscape mode) is added. If such a model is returned to its side, then all the icons and wallpapers, turning over, will adjust to the horizontal position of the display.
If in Plus the auto-rotate of working screens with icons does not work, then perhaps you are using a larger scale, with larger elements, including icons. This mode can be disabled in the Settings app:
- Screen Brightness. View. Standard. Set
The phone will reboot after confirmation. The 5.5-inch iPhone Plus should now turn on auto-rotate screen icons again.

If that doesn’t work, then try a cooler option called a hard reset. This reset does NOT delete data on the device and does not affect settings.
IPhone White Screen. Use Recovery
If the above method doesn’t work while the display is white, you can try “recovery mode” and restore data from an iOS backup.
Before using “recovery mode“, you need to know that the iOS operating system will be reinstalled.
To do this, you must have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer and a compatible cable to connect your smartphone to your computer.

This is an option when the touch panel fails, but in order to inspect it, you also need to open the smartphone.
When the digitizer (touch panel) is not working, your screen will not respond to your finger. If known enough, then remove the old one and put a new one.
Note: replacing the digitizer or LCD panel does not void the warranty due to the lack of factory seals.
Why is the iPhone screen white
When a decent white screen turns on in iPhone 5, iPhone 7, iPhone 5s, iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, this happens quite rarely.

Sometimes during an “unauthorized” disassembly of the iPhone (by yourself, and not in a service center), some parts break, in particular, the phone’s power button. Then the user may notice that the iPhone restarts on the “apple” or the “apple” is lit on the iPhone, but it does not turn on. In this case, it is better to contact the service center for diagnostics and replacement of the part.
Damage to the motherboard
In this case, the device may still work, but over time, the apple logo will appear on the screen more often, and soon it will hang on it, finally losing its functionality.
There is not enough free space on the phone
During the installation of updates on the iPhone, there may not be enough space available, then it cannot be completed and the phone hangs on the logo.

2020-05-21 update / iPhone 11 update
If all the manipulations with the software did not give any result and the glitch appears with the same frequency, you should proceed to checking the accessories used.
1. Get rid of covers and cases.
The first on the list of unsuccessful accessories may be the iPhone case. This is especially true for accessories that cover the screen or the top of the gadget from the front side.
The case can interfere with the correct operation of the sensors. This will happen both due to the banal closing of the sensors, and due to the presence of magnets in the case design.
2. Do not use removable accessories.
Removable accessories such as attachment lenses for a camera, aqua box or a tripod with a powerful mount can lead to problems with triggering sensors on the top of the smartphone.
Discard such accessories during testing.
3. Remove the glass or protective film.
As much as you would like to remove the protective coating from the front panel, but in any case it will be removed when the gadget is checked in the service center.
Perhaps it is poor-quality protection that interferes with the correct operation of the proximity sensor.
What to do if iPhone does NOT turn on the screen during a call
It is worth examining how the iPhone display behaves during a call. Especially if the display has a film or glass.
Occasionally, the screen may not turn off when you bring iPhone closer to your ear while on an active call. Or vice versa, and will not turn on back when moving away from the head until the end of the conversation.
There may be several reasons for this, so we will analyze each separately.
The first step is to eliminate the possibility of software glitches and errors. This can be done at home, while you will save the time spent by the gadget in the service center if it turns out that the cause of the malfunction is component breakdown.
1. First, make sure you DO NOT use test versions of iOS and firmware for developers.
We have already described in detail how to roll back to the stable version of iOS and disable the ability to download beta releases of the system.
2.reboot the device and try to track the problem.
Sometimes these glitches disappear after rebooting the gadget or Hard Reset. Read more about how to do this here.
3. Remove applications that are embedded in standard programs.
Sometimes all kinds of extensions for the Phone (caller IDs and filters for calls), Messages (add-ons for iMessage) or third-party keyboards from the App Store can lead to such failures.
Remove such programs while checking the smartphone.
4. Disable two important system settings. The incorrect response of the sensor can be affected by the iOS chips “Raise to activate” (Settings. Screen and brightness) and “Open with a finger” (Settings. Accessibility. Home button) on iPhone models without Face ID.
Turn both off and check for glitch.
5. Restore the firmware on the device.
The last way to check if the software is working is to reset the device and restore the factory firmware. This way you can get rid of jailbreak-related glitches or system crashes due to regular updates over the air.
You can try a factory reset first, and then iOS restore. Detailed instructions are attached.
If all the described procedures do not give any effect, then the problems are with the iPhone components.
1. The device was damaged by being dropped.
Glitches and crashes may NOT start immediately after the fall, but after a few days or even months.
2. The gadget does not work after a poor-quality repair.
If the device was in the hands of the craftsmen from the basement of the SC, it could well damage something or connect it in the wrong way. The loop could have been improperly laid, which was frayed during operation, the module could have been completely forgotten and over time it moved out and stopped falling into the corresponding hole.
If the iPhone has changed the screen, then the matter may be in a bad block with sensors.
3.the smartphone did not survive swimming in water.
The presence of a waterproof does NOT guarantee that after the next hit of liquid on the case, it will not be inside.
So even after a long time after getting wet, any components of the iPhone may fail.
In any case, there is only one way out. a trip to the service center.
IPhone 11 screen: all about the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro displays
The iPhone 11 screen differs from the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max screen Not only in the size and resolution of the matrix. There are much more differences. We will tell you about all the nuances in detail in a review dedicated exclusively to the screen of smartphones of the new line of Apple. Other features of the new iPhones will remain off-screen, with only the screen in focus!
If you know the characteristics of the screens of the new iPhones, go straight to the tests. There is a lot of interesting and informative, including conclusions from the review of the iPhone 11 Pro Max, conducted by experts from the reputable website DisplayMate.
IPhone 11 screen resolution
Let’s start simple and gradually complicate things. Android smartphones usually get a standard HD or Full HD sensor. In the first case, the phone has a 1520 by 720 pixels display, in the second. 2340 by 1080. There is also a third option. an ultra-high resolution of 3120 by 1440, but it is found exclusively in the premium segment. The iPhone 11 screen doesn’t fit into any of those categories. Cupertino uses panels with a unique resolution, which cannot be found in other smartphones. It is difficult to remember the numbers, they have obvious logic:
- IPhone 11 screen resolution. 1792 by 828 pixels.
- IPhone 11 Pro screen resolution. 2436 by 1125 pixels.
- IPhone 11 Pro Max screen resolution. 2688 by 1242 pixels.
It turns out that the resolution in the iPhone 11 is slightly higher than the standard HD, which today is found only in budget smartphones. The display resolution of the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max is slightly higher than the classic Full HD used in flagships and mid-range phones.
iPhone 11: screen sizes and dot density
Needless to say, the iPhone 11 is smaller than the iPhone 11 Pro Max, but larger than the iPhone 11 Pro? Perhaps not worth it. Let’s just list the characteristics:
- IPhone 11 screen size. 6.1 inches.
- IPhone 11 Pro screen size. 5.8 inches.
- IPhone 11 Pro Max screen diagonal. 6.5 inches.
Knowing the screen diagonal and resolution, it’s easy to calculate the pixel density, or ppi. To do this, get the total number of pixels and divide it by the display area in square inches. Through simple mathematical calculations, we get the following numbers:
- iPhone 11. 326 ppi dot density.
- iPhone 11 Pro. 458 ppi dot density.
- iPhone 11 Pro Max. 458 ppi dot density.
The higher the pixel density, the clearer the picture. In this respect, the iPhone 11 Pro display looks preferable to the base iPhone 11. The screens of the iPhone 11 Pro Max and 11 Pro are equally good in this component.
IPhone 11 screen tests
With the theory sorted out, it’s time to move on to testing the iPhone 11 screen and advanced models of the line. The first test is to check the maximum brightness and contrast. Apple iPhone 11. Lab tests have shown that the Liquid Retina display has a maximum brightness of 644 nits. That’s slightly lower than last year’s iPhone XR, which hit the 700 nit grandmaster mark.
There is a slight problem with black saturation (predictable, since perfect black with IPS backlighting is unattainable, as we have already said). The black background brightness on the iPhone 11 screen is 0.428 nits, although it should ideally be zero. But the ideal is achievable only on an OLED matrix, but here IPS.
The maximum contrast ratio of the matrix is 1505: 1. According to this indicator, the iPhone 11 is much inferior to the top models of the line and is slightly inferior to last year’s iPhone XR. Apple iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max display. Laboratory tests carried out by GSMArena experts under similar conditions on the same equipment gave the following results:
- IPhone 11 Pro has a maximum brightness of 805 nits.
- IPhone 11 Pro Max has a maximum brightness of 820 nits.
Apple claims a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. It is quite possible, because the test result was obtained with manual brightness settings, that is, with the slider turned to the maximum. With automatic adjustments, the iPhone 11 screen will be brighter, but it’s outdoors in bright ambient light, not in a laboratory. By the way, DisplayMate tests showed that the brightness of the iPhone 11 screen may be even higher than stated, but more on that in the next section.
If we compare the results with the iPhone XS and XS Max, we can see that Apple’s 2019 screens are much brighter. For last year’s models, the maximum brightness was 660 and 653 nits, respectively. Considering that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 automatically produces a maximum brightness of 794 nits (that is, this is its ceiling), we can state that the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have the brightest screen to date.
The maximum contrast in the screens of new Apple products is 2,000,000: 1. This is 2 times higher than in last year’s XS or XS Max (1,000,000: 1). With such a high contrast ratio that overlaps the dynamic range needed to support HDR10 with a substantial headroom, the Super Retina XDR name for the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max is perfect.
IPhone 11 screen: True Tone technology
What is True Tone? This is a unique technology used in Apple smartphones to improve color quality. The task of True Tone is to adjust the white balance depending on the ambient light and show the user a picture that is optimal for the current conditions. True Tone is implemented using a six-channel light sensor built into the wide eyebrow of the iPhone 11 and second models of the line. The sensor is included in all 2019 Apple smartphones, so they all support this technology. True Tone is included in both the iPhone 11 Pro and the base iPhone 11.
The next mandatory test is color accuracy. To evaluate it, the color deviation coefficient, also known as DeltaE, is used. The average coefficient shows the color shift over the entire range, the maximum. in that part of the range where the shift is most pronounced. The lower the DeltaE coefficient, the better the color rendering.
In terms of color reproduction, the iPhone 11’s screen looks preferable. The average coefficient was 1.1, the maximum one rose to only 2.4. Ideal transmission for a smartphone, which is largely explained by the features of the IPS LCD panel.
The IPS LCD matrix does not provide perfect blacks, but it does produce perfect white, which is very important for color accuracy. Yes, the iPhone 11 screen does not break records for maximum brightness, but it gives a very correct picture in terms of color.
An important point. usually, with a decrease in brightness, color accuracy deteriorates, which is explained by the peculiarities of the backlight. The iPhone 11’s screen doesn’t have such a problem, and colors remain as accurate as possible even down to 2.3 nits of brightness. Thanks to the True Tone feature we already covered. The iPhone 11 Pro’s screen is very good too! The average DeltaE coefficient is slightly higher. 1.6, but the maximum has risen to only 2.3. For an OLED panel. an excellent result, since it is almost impossible to get perfect white on such a matrix. Low light conditions Color is not distorted and remains accurate down to 1.9 nits of brightness.
The iPhone 11 Pro Max’s screen is larger, and display size matters for color accuracy. The larger the screen, the more difficult it is to achieve ideal performance. Accordingly, one should not be surprised that for the iPhone 11 Pro Max the average deviation coefficient was 2.4, and the maximum one rose to 5.0.
IPhone 11 Pro Max screen: tests from DisplayMate
DisplayMate is a reputable independent laboratory that tests Not only smartphones, but also monitors and TVs. Reviews designed for specialists are incredibly thorough with a lot of nuances, which are usually incomprehensible and unnecessary for the user. Therefore, we will restrict ourselves to the conclusions reached by the experts after testing the iPhone 11 Pro Max:
- IPhone 11 Pro Max display 15% more efficient (uses less power) than last year’s iPhone XS Max.
- Home screen iPhone 11 Pro Max outputs 902 nits peak brightness in both DCI-P3 and sRGB modes.
- Brightness for standardized image. 821 nits in DCI-P3 mode and sRGB.
- Peak brightness in HDR mode reaches 1290 nits.
- Color reproduction is almost perfect. Better than most modern smartphones, TVs and monitors.
- The protective glass in the iPhone 11 Pro Max is more durable than in the iPhone XS.

IPhone 11 Pro screen: matrix type
One of the key characteristics of the display is the type of matrix, and here we have Fundamental differences.
The iPhone 11 screen is built on a Liquid Retina matrix. The beautiful name hides NOT a unique technology, but an ordinary IPS LCD panel, albeit of a very high quality. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max use an OLED matrix that Cupertino marketers have dubbed the Super Retina XDR. Does a pretty name match the image quality? Let’s learn from the tests, but for now let’s say that the OLED screen allows you to realize a number of features that are not available for smartphones with IPS LCD. We talk about them in the next section.
HDR10 and Dolby Vision support
Thanks to the OLED panel’s maximum contrast ratio, the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max have HDR10 and Dolby Vision support. In short, the essence of THESE content formats is to expand the dynamic range and make the picture as bright, contrasting, saturated as possible. The base iPhone 11 features an IPS LCD panel that has limited contrast. This is explained by the specifics of the backlight and the inability to get perfect black. On smartphones with an IPS screen, it is NOT black, but dark gray. Since the dynamic range is limited by the capabilities of the sensor, iPhone 11 Plasma HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
