Screenshot on a computer using Windows
This method is suitable for those who do not take screenshots too often and who do not need special tools for editing the created screenshots, for example, highlighting an important moment with an arrow or highlighting.
To take a screenshot on the computer, press the Print Screen button on the computer keyboard. It can also be called PrtScr for short. This button is always located at the top right of the keyboard.
On some laptops, the Print Screen button works in combination with the Fn key and is highlighted in blue. In this case, you need to SIMultaneously press the Fn key and the Print Screen key.
After pressing the print screen key, a screenshot of the entire computer screen will be taken and copied to the clipboard. If you want to take a snapshot of only the active window (only the program that you have active, for example a browser), then click ALTPrint Screen. Don’t be surprised if nothing happens visually. The same thing happens when copying text before pasting it into any document.
Now all that remains is to copy the screenshot from the clipboard of the computer into some graphic editor. For this, Paint from standard Windows programs is best suited, although in principle you can insert an image into Photoshop or Microsoft Word. I use Paint in this article because every Windows user definitely has it.
Click Start. All Programs. Accessories and select Paint.
In the program that opens, click “Insert” or use the combination CtrV.
After that, the image from the clipboard is pasted into Paint. If the “Paste” button is inactive, then there is nothing in the clipboard, try again to make a screenshot of the screen, and then try to paste again. In my case, I took a screenshot of iTunes open on my computer.
It remains only to save a screenshot of the desktop in a file. To do this, click “File”. “Save”. Select the name of the files and its location on your computer, for example Desktop.
So, here’s a quick guide on how to take a screenshot of the entire computer screen:
Press the print screen button on the keyboard to photograph the entire computer screen or ALTPrint Screen to photograph only the currently active window.
2.Open Paint and click “Paste”
3.Save the image in Paint by clicking “Save”.
